Without a shock mount, subsonic rumbles - as well as blatantly audible disturbances - will be transmitted from the floor and up through the mic stand to your mic.
These shock mounts fit any microphone with a diameter between 43mm and 53mm. They also come complete with a removable pop shield with two axes of adjustment for that perfect placement and protection from plosives.
